Hi, I’m Dr. Joani,
My journey into bioenergetic medicine began not in a classroom, and in the aftermath of an event that forever changed the structure of my body and the trajectory of my life. In 2015, I was run over by a taxi in Manhattan. My ankle was crushed. My left big toe was under the tire. I was pinned beneath the car. I left my body, and I returned. That near-death experience became one of my greatest teachers.
After three surgeries over three years, I learned to walk again. Today, I am completely hardware-free. Would I say my structure is the same as it was before? No. And yet, through it all, I found something far greater than recovery — I found regeneration. As I rebuilt my body, I learned to move energy differently. I discovered that everything carries a vibrational frequency, and that healing accelerates when we consciously align with those frequencies. I stopped trying to fix what was “wrong” and started working with what was alive.
That’s when everything changed.
I began integrating bioenergetic medicine into my own self-care and into my patients’ and clients’ healing journeys. The results were undeniable — more coherence, less pain, more vitality. It was as if the body remembered its original blueprint and simply needed permission to return there. You might say I discovered portals of possibility — openings into new states of wellness, consciousness, and joy that are always right in front of us, waiting to be used. I didn’t come to this work from a purely metaphysical path. I’m a conventional Western-trained doctor. I went to dental school. I owned a holistic health center in Midtown Manhattan. And through my own healing, I became fascinated by the ways our fascia, breath, and nervous system bridge the physical and the energetic.
My transformation wasn’t linear. I carried family-of-origin trauma, people-pleasing patterns, and the echoes of “shoulds” and “coulds” that kept me small. Like many of us, I tried to grow through effort, through doing.
And then I realized: evolution doesn’t have to be painful.
When we shift alchemically — when we change frequency instead of forcing form — healing becomes pleasure. Growth becomes play. Now, my devotion is helping others experience that same liberation through the Ascension Mastermind — a community and energetic ecosystem where transformation happens not by force, and by resonance. Because when we learn to move energy consciously, when we calibrate our systems to joy, to love, to truth, life reorganizes itself around us.
This is my work. This is my mission. And it’s only the beginning.
